Acting Vice Chancellors Appointed at Four Institutions by the Prime Minister
Academic, administrative, and financial responsibilities to continue until Vice Chancellors are appointed
Nepal Health News, Kathmandu. The responsibility of acting Vice Chancellors has been temporarily assigned to Rectors and Deans at four medical institutions in the country where the position of Vice Chancellor is currently vacant. Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli assigned this responsibility on Baisakh 4 (April 16).
Prof. Dr. Sanjeev Sharma has been appointed as the acting Vice Chancellor at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences; Prof. Dr. Pawan Sharma at Patan Academy of Health Sciences; and Prof. Dr. Dabal Bahadur Dhami at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences. Since there is no Rector at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, the responsibility has been given to Dean Prof. Dr. Shreekrishna Shrestha.
They received their appointment letters on Sunday. The letters mention that the appointees will carry out academic, administrative, and financial duties as acting Vice Chancellors until permanent appointments are made.
