Amidst the protest, a gift of life: Teachers unite for blood donation.

Nepal Health News, Kathmandu – While demanding the enactment of the education-related bill, teachers protesting in Kathmandu have taken a different approach by fulfilling their social responsibility. Under the leadership of the Nepal Teachers' Federation, a large-scale open blood donation campaign is set to take place tomorrow, Baisakh 11 (April 23), at 2 PM near the Ark Bridge in Bijulibazar.

The president of the Teachers' Federation, Laxmikishor Subedi, stated that through this blood donation program, the participating teachers aim to set an example of social awareness and humanitarian service. "Blood donation is life donation. While demanding our rights, we also want to send a message that we can help save others’ lives," said Subedi.

Teachers have been staging a protest in Kathmandu since Chaitra 20 (early April), demanding quality reforms in education and the protection of teachers' rights and interests. The blood donation event is open to everyone, and the Federation has invited interested individuals to take part.
