Nepal Health News, Sunsari – An integrated health camp has been launched in Duhabi Municipality of Sunsari with the aim of identifying and treating various types of cancers and reproductive health issues in women.
The camp, organized in coordination with the municipality's health division and in collaboration with Karuna Foundation Nepal, began on Wednesday at the Basic Health Center located in Duhabi-4.
According to Pinky Bhagat, the nursing focal person of the health division, the camp will be conducted through health centers in various wards.
The camp will provideuterine prolapse, treatment, and referrals if necessary for conditions such as uterine prolapse, breast cancer, cervical cancer, obstetric fistula, and infertility.
Deputy Mayor of Duhabi Municipality, Menuka Pokhrel Khatri, stated that the camp was initiated with the goal of early detection and management of such diseases in women.
According to Dr. Surya Prasad Rimal, a gynecologist at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, cervical cancer is fully treatable if detected in its early stages
