Cancer Screening and Awareness Camp for Women in Sindhuli: Around 500 Women Receive Health Checkups

Nepal Health News, Sindhuli — Around 500 women underwent health checkups at a cancer screening and awareness camp held at Sindhuli Hospital. The camp, organized in collaboration with Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, focused on the early detection of breast cancer and cervical cancer.

Some women showed signs of cancer during the screening, and they have been referred to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital for further treatment.

According to the hospital administration, the camp helped raise awareness about cancer among women and supported the early identification of the disease.

Sindhuli Hospital has made significant progress in recent times. The hospital now offers advanced medical services, including surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, CT scans, and dialysis.

On the occasion of the camp, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital Chairman Satish Dhakal and Medical Superintendent Dr. Abhishek Thapaliya discussed strengthening collaboration between the two hospitals to provide more effective care to patients in the future. Dr. Ujwal Chalise, Executive Director of Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, described the meeting as “pleasant and positive.”
