Israeli attack on hospital in Gaza: 28 killed and dozens injured after 6 bombs dropped

Nepal Health News: At least 28 people have been killed and many others injured in an Israeli airstrike on the premises of a European hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, on Monday night, according to a spokesperson for the civil defense agency operated by Hamas.

Local sources reported that Israeli fighter jets dropped six bombs simultaneously, targeting the hospital area. The explosions hit the hospital’s main courtyard and surrounding residential areas. Dozens of civilians, including women and children, were reported injured and are currently being treated at local health centers.

The Israeli military claimed that it carried out a "precision strike" on what it described as a Hamas "command and control" center located underground beneath the hospital.

Meanwhile, an independent journalist reporting from Gaza for the BBC was also injured during the attack. He is currently in stable condition after receiving treatment.

Since the Israel-Hamas war began in October last year, more than 50,000 people have reportedly been killed in Gaza, according to various human rights organizations and international news agencies.
