Nepal Health News, Birtamode – B&C Medical College, Teaching Hospital and Research Center, located in Birtamode, Jhapa, has been honored as a ‘Very Important Consumer’ by the Nepal Electricity Authority.
The Koshi Provincial Office of the Electricity Authority, under the Government of Nepal, organized a special program in Biratnagar to present this honor to B&C Medical College. The Authority has been recognizing consumers who demonstrate disciplined electricity usage, make timely payments, and have high power consumption to encourage such practices.
During the program, Rajiv Kumar Singh, Head of the Koshi Provincial Office, informed that B&C was among the top 10 consumers to be recognized as Very Important Consumers. He expressed his belief that positive cooperation with consumers would further enhance the effectiveness of the Authority’s service delivery.
According to B&C Hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Pramis Giri, the recognition was based on the hospital’s significant electricity consumption and timely bill payments in the fiscal year 2081 (Nepali calendar). “We are always committed to efficient service delivery. Timely payment of dues is part of our policy,” Giri stated.
B&C Hospital, which has been playing a leading role in the healthcare sector of Jhapa, stated that this honor has provided additional institutional motivation.
The program was attended by officials from the Authority, representatives from various organizations, and the honored consumers.
