Nepal Health News, Chitwan – Bharatpur Hospital has achieved remarkable success in the evaluation of federal hospitals, securing the top position across the country. In the latest monitoring and evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Population, the hospital scored 88 percent, placing it at the highest rank.
The Ministry evaluated 15 federal hospitals nationwide based on service delivery, management, sanitation, and overall operation. According to the hospital's Medical Superintendent, Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Paudel, Bharatpur Hospital also received the “Green Zone” sticker, which is awarded only to institutions that score above 85 percent.
This year, Bharatpur Hospital is the only hospital to receive the Green Zone sticker. The evaluation was based on aspects such as good governance, quality of medical services, supportive services, and waste management. A team of experts led by the Ministry’s spokesperson, Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, conducted the on-site inspection and assessment.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Paudel stated, “We are continuously striving to improve the quality of our services. This achievement has been made possible through the collective efforts of our entire team.”
The hospital has shown continuous improvement over the past few years. According to Information Officer Gopal Paudel, the hospital scored 52 percent in 2078 BS (2021/22), and in subsequent years, it improved to 62, 64, 77, and finally 88 percent in 2082 BS (2025/26), showing the highest progress to date.
