Grand gathering of pharmaceutical professionals from Bagmati Province: Fourth annual general meeting held in Dhulikhel

Nepal Health News, Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok. The fourth annual general meeting of the Nepal Pharmaceutical Professionals Association, Bagmati Province was held grandly on 30 and 31 Jestha 2082 in Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok. The meeting, which was held with the enthusiastic participation of pharmaceutical professionals from across the province, debated, reviewed and held multi-faceted discussions on important issues related to the pharmaceutical business.

The main attraction of the inauguration
ceremony held on Friday, Jestha 30, was the special address by the central president of the association, Mr. Prakash Kumar Khandelwal. He stated that the organizational structure of the association is getting stronger in Bagmati Province and expressed confidence that the general assembly will take effective decisions for the common interests of the businessmen.

On the occasion, the association's central general secretary Shridhar Khanal, central treasurer Samrat Man Joshi, former vice president and special advisor of the association Prakash Man Pradhan, and consulting advisor Prithviraj Vaidya also expressed their views.

The inclusive participation and performance review
meeting saw broad participation of pharmaceutical professionals, with representation from all 13 districts of Bagmati Province. The meeting reviewed the achievements and challenges of the past year, presenting the annual reports of the provincial-level working committees and local-level units.

In addition, serious discussions were also held on issues related to transparency in the drug distribution system, business-friendly policy formulation, health-friendly service delivery, price control, monitoring, simplification of the registration renewal process, and improvement in the quality of medicines.

Preparations for the selection of new leadership
On the second day of the two-day general assembly, on 31st Jestha, after the organizational review, preliminary discussions were also held regarding the selection of the association's upcoming leadership. Proposals were put forward to form a special task force to institutionalize the election process and leadership development.

Inspiring Address by President Khandelwal
, Central President Khandelwal said in his address, "The pharmaceutical business is a sector linked to service and responsibility. It is our common duty to make it pure, disciplined and people-friendly." He mentioned that the association has been solving the problems of professionals, effectively intervening in policy making, and having clear views on issues of public interest.
