Doctors and equipment will be available in the newly constructed hospitals from the 1st of Saun: Health Minister Paudel

Nepal Health News, Kathmandu – The government is preparing to deploy doctors and essential medical equipment to the newly constructed basic hospitals starting from Saun 1 (mid-July).

Speaking at the House of Representatives on Monday, Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, stated that hospitals already completed at the local level will be equipped with doctors and necessary supplies to begin providing healthcare services.

Minister Paudel also mentioned that construction work on hospitals still under development will be expedited, and for locations where construction has yet to begin, strategic mapping and identification of sites have already been completed.

Acknowledging that the lack of doctors and equipment has disrupted services so far, he emphasized that the ministry is taking the strengthening of health infrastructure very seriously.

The government believes that this decision will help make basic healthcare services more accessible to citizens at the local level
