Nepal Health News, Kathmandu: A total of 55 individuals have applied for the position of Vice Chancellor at Karnali, BP Koirala, Patan, and Pokhara Health Science Academies as of Tuesday, according to the Secretariat of the Recommendation Committee under the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Ministry had issued a public notice last Wednesday, calling on eligible and interested candidates to apply. It stated that the application process for the Vice Chancellors of the health science academies has been conducted in a consultative and competitive manner across the country.
The list of applicants is scheduled to be made public on Wednesday. The Ministry has expressed its commitment to ensuring that the appointment process is carried out in a clean and transparent manner.
Previously, it was expected that the leadership of these academies would play a significant role in improving the quality of the health sector and promoting institutional development. With the appointment of new Vice Chancellors, it is believed that the overall progress and service standards of the health science academies will further improve.
