Nepal Health News, Kathmandu: The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a written clarification notice to Dr. Vivek Sunar, who is currently working at Nepal Police Hospital in Maharajgunj.
Dr. Sunar, who is officially assigned to the Gandaki Province Hospital, failed to report to duty after completing his 30-day home leave which ended on Falgun 21, 2081 (early March 2025). As he did not return to work nor inform the concerned authorities, the Ministry has sought clarification from him.
Dr. Sunar, who works in the Dental Department, was supposed to return to duty by Chaitra 21, 2081 (early April 2025), but he neither showed up at the hospital nor communicated his absence to any relevant office.
In this context, the Ministry of Home Affairs has published a public notice directing Dr. Sunar to provide a written explanation within seven days with a valid reason for his unauthorized absence and to immediately report to the hospital. The Ministry has stated that if no clarification is received within the given period, action will be taken under Clause (cha) of Rule 112 of the Police Regulations 2071, which may include dismissal from government service.
