Nepal Health News, Kathmandu – A special meeting is being held today among the Ministers of Health, Law, and Industry to discuss the demands raised by the Nepal Medical Association.
The meeting, taking place at the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, includes Ministers of Health, Law Minister Ajaya Chaurasiya, and Industry Minister Damodar Bhandari. The discussion is focused on finding solutions to the ongoing doctors' protest.
Doctors have been protesting in dissatisfaction following a recent verdict by the Consumer Court. In response, they have suspended all regular medical services except for emergency and intensive care treatments.
Additionally, preparations have begun for doctors to submit their licenses to the Nepal Medical Council. According to Dr. Karki, doctors have been collecting their certificates via email, and there are plans to submit those certificates to the Council by Tuesday evening.
