Nepal Health News, Kathmandu A new service building has been put into operation at the Teaching Hospital under Tribhuvan University. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the building, which was completed on the occasion of the hospital’s 43rd anniversary.
The construction of this building was financially supported by Meen Bahadur Gurung and Savitri Gurung, the owners of Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket. Built at a cost of approximately 90 million rupees, the Gurung couple has fully handed over the structure to the hospital.
During the program, Prime Minister Oli recalled the ‘Healthy Nepal’ campaign, emphasizing the importance of public health awareness, a balanced lifestyle, and accessible healthcare services. He stated, “We are working towards creating a society free from illness. For that, attention must be paid to diet, behavior, and rest.”
Prime Minister Oli highly praised the Gurung family’s contribution and noted that such social work from the private sector plays an important role in the development of the country.
