Nepal Health News, Nepalgunj – Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital has suspended two employees working in the pharmacy department.
According to the hospital administration, disciplinary action was initiated after it was found that a cash refund had been given for returned medicines provided to a patient under the insurance program.
Dr. Nirajan Subedi, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, stated that one employee was suspended on Friday and the other on Tuesday. He further mentioned that an internal investigation is currently underway, and further actions will be taken based on the explanations provided by the suspended employees.
The hospital administration has recently intensified monitoring efforts to ensure transparency in service delivery and to streamline the pharmacy system. This issue came to light during such monitoring.
The Hospital Development Committee has stated that necessary steps will be taken in accordance with its policy of not tolerating any kind of negligence or misconduct.
