Nepal Health News, Gaza – The BBC Verify has confirmed through new video analysis that Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza was struck at least four times during a deadly Israeli attack on Monday.
This assault, which has sparked widespread international condemnation, reportedly killed more than 20 people, including five journalists.
Initial reports had claimed that the hospital was attacked only twice, but recently released video footage shows that the number of strikes was actually double that.
According to the analysis, the first phase involved simultaneous strikes on two separate stairwells. This was followed by two more explosions at different times.
At 10:08 a.m. local time, the first explosion in the eastern section resulted in the death of Reuters journalist Hussam Al-Masri. The new footage also shows that another stairwell on the northern side was hit.
Sources involved in emergency rescue operations reported that the hospital's surgical department was also damaged.
