Nepal Health News, Hetauda – Senior orthopedic specialist Dr. Ramchandra Sapkota has been appointed as the Director of Hetauda Hospital. He was appointed on the recommendation of Dr. Pradeep Gyawali, Vice-Chancellor of Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences, and was handed the appointment letter by Bagmati Province's Minister of Health, Kiran Thapa.
While presenting the appointment letter, Minister Thapa stated that capable, experienced, and responsible leadership is necessary to develop Hetauda Hospital as the premier center for healthcare services and medical education in Bagmati Province.
He expressed confidence that under the leadership of an expert doctor like Dr. Sapkota, there will be qualitative improvements in the hospital’s service delivery, the quality of education, and a patient-friendly environment.
Dr. Sapkota has been serving as a senior orthopedic specialist at Hetauda Hospital for a long time. He completed his undergraduate medical studies (MBBS) from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Pokhara and his postgraduate studies from the Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj, under Tribhuvan University. He is a tenth-level senior physician who has dedicated several decades to public healthcare service.
After assuming office, the newly appointed Director Dr. Sapkota stated, “My primary duty will be to work with integrity to strengthen healthcare services, improve the quality of education, and create a patient-friendly environment in a way that earns everyone's trust.” He also took the oath of office and secrecy in front of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Gyawali.
