Department of Drug Administration orders immediate withdrawal of medicines named 'Pilpan' and 'Acetop' from the market.

Nepal Health News, Kathmandu – The Department of Drug Administration has issued a directive to immediately withdraw two gastrointestinal medicines from the market.

The medicines, named 'Pilpan 40 mg' and 'Acetop 40 mg', were found to be substandard during testing. The department has requested everyone not to recommend, sell, distribute, or use the batches in question.

According to the notice, samples of these medicines collected during market surveillance and tested by the National Drug Laboratory were found to be of inferior quality.

In accordance with Section 14 of the Drug Act, 2035 (1978 AD), the department has instructed the concerned manufacturers and their representatives to immediately recall the specified batches from the market and submit the details to the department.
